Upper School Women in STEM Club Hosts Panel Discussion
The Upper School Women in STEM Club hosted a panel discussion on February 10 with women currently working in STEM fields. The panel included: Alana Franco, Medical Student at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine; Jennifer Harris ’03, project manager at Environmental Resolutions, Inc.; Vanessa Kara ’15, Environmental Engineer at Brown & Caldwell; Karen Kozarsky ’77, President of Vector Biopartners; and MFS parent Coleen Vernick, Chief of Neurosurgical Anesthesiology at Thomas Jefferson Hospital. Each of the panelists shared the story of their paths to their current career, as well as advice for students on how to pursue their own careers following graduation.
