Endowment
The MFS endowment consists of gifts donated to the school that have been invested in order to produce income. The school’s endowment is valued at over $20 million. Income from the endowment provides scholarships, professional development for faculty, and resources to help the school recruit and retain talented teachers.
The total MFS endowment is comprised of numerous individual endowment funds. A named endowment is a permanent fund that provides annual income for MFS programs, students and faculty, etc. in perpetuity. Individual named funds may be established with gifts of $50,000 to $1 million or more. In accordance with the endowment investment and spending policies of the School Committee, a named endowed fund is invested and income is directed annually to the program identified by the donor or is unrestricted. The Endowment Spending Policy for MFS directs 4% of the average of the trailing twelve quarter market values of the entire MFS endowment to be allocated among the unrestricted and restricted funds.
If you are interested in learning more about a fund or contributing to an individual endowment, please contact Stephen Zakroff, Director of Development, at (856) 914-4411.
