Two Upper School Students Named to API Girls Leadership Council Executive Board

Aug 4, 2020

Vani Hanamirian ’22 (Alumnae Chair) and Kayla Patel ’21 (Board Representative) have been named to the Alice Paul Institute (API) 2020-21 Girls Leadership Council Executive Board.

Alice Paul Institute’s Girls Leadership Council meets once a month to discuss issues affecting women and girls. Council members are interested in leadership, activism, and women’s and girls’ issues on a local, national, and even international level. Using a unique curriculum to educate on issues in the United States, members leave meetings better equipped to engage in meaningful conversation on different topics like human rights, gender stereotypes, and intersectionality.

The council meets at the Alice Paul Institute in Mt. Laurel. API is located at historic Paulsdale, the birthplace of Alice Paul, MFS Class of 1901.
