MFS Community Enjoys Solar Eclipse Viewing
MFS students and employees gathered on April 9, on the Oval and throughout campus, to take part in the solar eclipse viewing. MFS community members were given special protective eclipse sunglasses so that all could enjoy the unique astronomical experience. Peak eclipse viewing for Moorestown occurred at 3:24 p.m., just after dismissal. The glasses were recommended by the American Astronomical Association and complied with all applicable safety standards.
Students also took part in a host of activities in their classrooms throughout the day leading up to the eclipse including crafting their own solar eclipse models, watching educational videos, and more.
