Sixth Grade Explores Astronomical Scale of Solar System On Campus

Sixth Grade Science Teacher Matt Lubicky and his students recently studied the astronomical scale of the solar system right here on the MFS campus. Two classes compiled information on the planets and adhered small posters onto markers in the ground on the athletic fields all the way to the woods that were spaced to scale based on the solar system. The scale model solar system provided great perspective about the distance of the planets from each other and from the sun.

Lower School classes also enjoyed visiting the scale model solar system.
