Seventh Grade Students Share African American Scientist Books with Lower Schoolers

Seventh grade science students recently shared their African American scientist biography books with Lower School Buddies in kindergarten, first, and second grade classes. The project was part of a seventh grade Quest (English, social studies, and science) thematic unit focused on African American history and culture studies. The goal was to celebrate and create awareness about African American scientists, inventors, and mathematicians past and present. Each seventh grader selected a scientist, inventor, or mathematician, conducted research, wrote, and illustrated their own scientist biography children’s storybook.
