A strong contingent of seven students represented the MFS Middle School at the National History Bee Finals, which took place June 7-9 in Chicago. A buzzer-based competition, the History Bee challenges middle schoolers with trivia questions about U.S. and non-U.S. history.
Students attending the Finals included: Avani Verma ’24, Himanshu Sahore ’24, Colton Oatway ’24, Vikram Verma ’25, Ayanna Uppal ’25, Zaydan Lalani ’26, and Ali Sabir ’26.
Ali, Ayanna, Himanshu and Zaydan made it to the quarterfinals in the History Bee.
Ali, Zaydan, Ayanna and Himanshu qualified for the International History Bee and Avani and Zayden qualified for the International Geography Bee, both to be held in 2020.
All seven students qualified for Nationals after their success in regional competitions earlier this year.
