Parent Author Shares Book Describing Eid al-Fitr

The Library hosted parent and author Najmun Riyaz for visits with fourth and fifth grade students during the last week of April. Najmun read her book Essence of Eid, published in 2019 and based on her family’s celebration of the Muslim holiday. The beautiful story explores the true meaning of the holiday, and students were thrilled to have the author herself share it with them. There were excellent Ask-the-Author sessions after each read aloud!  Many thanks to Najmun!
