Eighth Grade Participates in President of the Cell Race

The MFS eighth grade science classes annually embark on a campaign to have their assigned organelle (a number of organized or specialized structures within a living cell) voted into office as The President of the Cell. Each group is instructed to design and run a political campaign which includes flyers, posters, video ads, and reaching out to faculty and staff for official endorsements for their candidate.

On October 27, votes were cast and counted. This year’s winners included Mitochondria: Mia DeNittis and Caroline Nesevich, Cell Membrane: Nolan Phillips, and Mitochondria: Audrey DiMaurizio, Sienna LoRe, and Harmony Tulino.
