Kindergarten Cheers On “Adopted” Varsity Lacrosse Team
Many Lower School classes (Preschool – Grade 4) at Moorestown Friends have “adopted” a varsity sports team this school year. For the spring season, Kenya Barber’s Kindergarten class has adopted the Girls’ Lacrosse team. During a recent home game, the kindergartners cheered on their Upper School buddies, wearing their specially made hats with fox ears! The kindergarten students loved seeing the girls play on the field, and the varsity athletes were spurred on by the sideline cheers to play their best! Throughout the season, the varsity athletes visited the kindergarteners in their classroom, explained the rules of lacrosse, shared their goals for the season, and celebrated big wins!
