Jaime Baker joins the Moorestown Friends Business Office as the school’s new Bookkeeper. She replaces Marge Kelly who retired on May 13. Her responsibilities include managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, reconciliations, reporting, student billing, and much more. She really enjoys her work, particularly the clarity and methodical process of bookkeeping, even though she fell into the career unexpectedly.
Jaime graduated with a degree in communications from Rowan University. Then she entered the marketing field first at a marketing regional and sales office in Turnersville, NJ, and later for two years as the Director of Marketing at a bank. For the following five and a half years, Jaime acted as the office manager of a law firm. It was during her tenure at the law firm that she first learned bookkeeping, as well as managing employee relations and legal work. Afterwards, she worked at a regional sales office for a truck manufacturing company for six and a half years until she arrived at MFS, returning once again to bookkeeping, in April.
“I enjoy working with a team, and MFS has been such a supportive and welcoming community already,” said Jaime.
At home, Jaime and her husband are kept busy as parents of three boys, age seven, eight, and ten. Her boys are active with soccer and street hockey teams, so Jaime is frequently found attending their games. She also enjoys reading books and watching TV shows, especially Scandal. Her family resides in Audubon.
