New MFS Summer Camp Programs Offered for Middle and Upper School Students

Moorestown Friends School announces three new summer program offerings to take place in Summer 2025 right here on the MFS campus! The courses below are available to MFS and non-MFS students who will be entering Grades 6-12 next year. Please spread the word to your friends who may have students who can benefit from these exciting new courses. You can click here to view/download an informational flyer to share with friends.

Registration will take place in December, but please complete the relevant interest forms if your child is considering signing up for one or more of these programs. Your response will allow us to prepare and also follow up with you directly once registration opens.

Artificial Intelligence for Social Good
Offered by Inspirit AI, hosted at Moorestown Friends School

Two-Week Course (July 14-18 & July 21-25, 2025)
Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Open to rising 6th – 12th grade students
Cost: $1,600

Moorestown Friends School is offering an in-person, pre-college, project-based artificial intelligence program through Inspirit AI, an AI education program developed and taught by Stanford and MIT graduates this summer on campus.

Students from Grades 6-12 will learn the fundamental concepts of AI and gain a deeper understanding of how AI is used to build ChatGPT and generative AI, fight the COVID-19 pandemic, power self-driving cars, and more. Students will learn to program AI using Python, discuss ethics and bias within AI, and complete a group project applying AI to a discipline like healthcare, astronomy, finance, among others. No prior computer science experience is required to participate. Separate middle and high school programs will be offered.

The program is offered at a fee of $1600 for 30 hours of hands-on learning with AI practitioners and graduate students from Stanford and MIT who will travel to Moorestown to teach this pre-college program. Moorestown Friends School is offering two week-long summer programs. Students who enroll in both MFS programs will receive a $100 total discount on registration. Please complete this interest formif you are considering registering for these programs. This is not a formal registration form, but it will give us a better indication of interest for planning purposes.

Life Skills for High School and Beyond
Offered by Moorestown Friends School

July 14-18, 2025, 12:45 – 3:45 p.m.
Hartman Hall, Moorestown Friends School
Open to rising 10th-12th grade students and students from the Class of 2025
Cost: $500*

This course is designed to introduce students going into Grades 10-12 and recent high school graduates to practical life skills that will prepare them for day-to-day living after high school. Students will explore a range of topics including personal finance, public speaking, time management, car maintenance, and basic home repair. Students will take part in hands-on learning taught by a different MFS instructor each day. The course is open to MFS and non-MFS students with an interest in practical and transferable life skills.

How to Make Your Experiences Shine in the College Process
Offered by Moorestown Friends School

July 21-25, 2025, 12:45 – 3:45 p.m.
Hartman Hall, Moorestown Friends School
Open to rising 10th-12th grade students
Cost: $500*

This course will provide strategies that empower students to highlight their experiences, interests, and backgrounds in ways that stand out to college admission offices. We will learn and practice techniques that shape college applications into cohesive and compelling narratives through college essays, activities resumes, interviews, communication to demonstrate interest, and more. Sessions will be led by the MFS Director of College Counseling and will feature guest college admission representatives. The course is open to rising 10th-12th grade MFS and non-MFS students who are engaged in or are preparing to start their college application process.
