On Saturday, January 30, the MFS MATHCOUNTS team placed third at the Burlington/Ocean counties regional competition. The team consists of four Middle School students: Bailey Butterworth ’20, Daniel Quigley ’20, Lauren Kam ’21, and Kayla Patel ’21. The team coach, for the third year in a row, is Joshua Murdy ’16. MATHCOUNTS is a national middle school coaching and competitive mathematics program that promotes mathematics achievement through a series of fun and engaging “bee” style contests.
