Grade 11 Students Travel to The Hagley Museum
Grade 11 students traveled to Wilmington, Delaware on November 9 to visit The Hagley Museum. The museum is the original site of works founded by E.I. du Pont. Its 235 acres of land include restored mills, a workers’ community, the ancestral home and gardens of the du Pont family, as well as an extensive library. The library holds papers and records ranging from those of 18th-century merchants to modern telecommunications. While there, the students made use of the library’s collections by learning about the archival system and doing archival primary research.
