Girls’ Basketball Wins Pitman Tournament of Peace

The Moorestown Friends Varsity Girls’ Basketball team captured the Pitman Tournament of Peace title on Friday, December 28 with decisive victories over Palmyra and Pitman.

MFS won the semifinal against Palmyra, 61-29. Muffin Davis ’22 had 23 points and 7 assists, and Bella Runyan ’20 had 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists.

The team triumphed in the championship game, 59-34, over Pitman. Runyan and Davis scored 22 points each.

Bella Runyan was named tournament MVP following the championship victory.
