Girls’ Basketball Advances to SJIBT Championship Game

The Girls’ Basketball team (16-4) has advanced to the SJIBT tournament championship for the first time in the 11-year history of the tournament. Coach Mike Brunswick’s team will play tomorrow, Sunday, February 16, at 4:30 p.m., at Eastern High School vs. Clearview (20-1). Admission is $10/adults, $5/students/senior citizens. The game will be preceded by several showcase games.

Yesterday the Foxes downed Eastern, 44-41 in an intense semifinal in which teams were never separated by more than seven points. Bella Runyan ’20 (pictured with parents Jon and Loretta) passed the all-time tournament scoring mark during yesterday’s game. Read game stories below:
