Fifth Grade Creates News Broadcast Videos

Earlier this fall, Christine Cerruti’s and Sarah Rotter’s fifth grade classes created in-class news broadcasts at the end of an English unit. This week, the two classes joined with Academic Technology Coordinator and Wordsworth Advisor Diana Day and Computer Teacher Lisa Martin as a follow-up, turning their vocab-focused news broadcasts into full-fledged news productions. 

The classes spent an afternoon with Diana Day in the recording studio of the Upper School student media group Wordsworth. Each group was filmed as they recited their broadcasts for the camera and will now edit the videos in their computers classes with Lisa Martin to create an official broadcast video clip.
