Congratulations to Tara Smith Pierman ’94 who was recognized in the September edition of Profiles in Diversity Journal as one of 162 Women Worth Watching in the magazine’s 15th annual ranking, which promotes and advances diversity and inclusion. Women Worth Watching award winners are chosen for being role models for and inspiring other women. Currently, Tara is Campbell Soup Company’s Deputy Corporate Secretary and Corporate Counsel in addition to being the global co-chair and business advisor for the Women of Campbell employee resource group at the Campbell’s world headquarters in Camden, NJ.

“I was extremely touched and humbled to be nominated for this honor by Campbell’s Workforce Diversity and Inclusion team,” said Tara, in a press statement released by Campbell. “We have so many amazing, talented women at Campbell, and to be recognized for my efforts to help shape the agenda and priorities for the Women of Campbell, in addition to my core job responsibilities, means a great deal to me.”

Campbell’s nomination praised Tara as a “true advocate and champion for female mentorship, youth education, and empowering women to reach the highest levels of success,” and highlighted her work with the Women of Campbell and its executive sponsor, CEO Denise Morrison.

“Collectively, these women are forging ahead with global acclaim in strategies that are making a difference in their workplace, marketplace, and around the world,” said James Rector, publisher of Profiles in Diversity Journal. “These leaders bring an array of life experiences and views that consistently produce a variety of new concepts and ideas.”
