Boys’ Soccer Advances to Non-Public B South Final!
The top-seeded Moorestown Friends Boys’ Soccer team (14-5-1) downed 12th-seeded Noor ul-iman yesterday, 6-1, to advance to the NJSIAA Non-Public B South championship match on Tuesday. The Foxes will face third-seeded St. Rose of Belmar (10-3-4), 4-0 winners over Princeton Day yesterday.
Leading the way for the Foxes in yesterday’s win was Preston Galanis ’25 who had two goals and three assists. Jared Kolaris ’25 also scored two goals and added an assist and Matt Schlotterbeck ’25 had a goal and assist. Leo Dabrow ’24 had the sixth goal for MFS. Jonah Bierig ’24 had six saves in goal.
The Foxes will host the championship match on Tuesday at 2 p.m. This is believed to be the first on-campus sectional championship match in school history, as in 2019 the NJSIAA changed from playing non-public sectional final matches at neutral sites, moving to the sites of the highest remaining seeds. So don your red and blue and come out and cheer the Foxes Tuesday!
This is the fifth sectional final appearance for Boys’ Soccer in the last 11 years. They captured the championship in 2015, 2017, and 2019, and lost in the final in 2013. The winner of this match will advance to the NJSIAA Non-Public B championship on Friday at Kean University.
Go Foxes!
