Upper School Choir Named Semifinalist in B101 FM Christmas Choir Competition

This morning on air (listen) it was announced that the Moorestown Friends School Upper School Choir’s performance of “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” is one of nine semifinalists in the B101.1 FM Christmas Choir Competition (Grades 9-12 Division)!

This is the sixth time an MFS musical group has been selected as a semifinalist.

The Choir will need your help on Monday. You will be able to vote continuously on B101’s website to help the Choir advance in the competition as they face off against two much larger public schools. You are able to vote continuously throughout the day beginning around 7 a.m. and votes can be placed until 9 p.m. The MFS performance will be played at 7 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Monday. Semifinalist winners from Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will advance to the final on Thursday.

If the Choir advances to the finals, MFS will face two other finalists for a $5,000 cash prize to support the school’s music program and the opportunity to perform prior to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra Holiday Show on December 22 at the Wells Fargo Center.
